Niklas Sardana III
President & CEO
Born in Ottawa, Canada, Niklas began his travel career in 1986 as a travel consultant. He studied hospitality and tourism management at Ryerson University in Toronto, University of Hawaii TIM in Honolulu and Nova University in Ft. Lauderdale. He held the position of Coordinator for the British Airways Concorde in Toronto for Blyth & Company, and had the pleasure of working for the prestigious Young Presidents’ Organization as Tour Director for their private academies.
His introduction to the cruise industry began when he joined Celebrity Cruises in 1990 as Deputy Cruise Director, a position he enjoyed for four years. His desire to discover more of the world led him to accept the position of Entertainment Coordinator aboard Cunard Line’s Royal Viking Sun during its 1996 World Cruise.
During his tenure onboard the Royal Viking Sun, it became apparent to Niklas that there was a distinct need for a speakers’ agency that catered exclusively to the luxury cruise lines. This revelation triggered his return to dry land in 1997 and the conception of Compass Speakers and Entertainment Inc., based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Here, he contrived the innovative modus of building a database of dependable speakers who could evolve with a flourishing, avant-garde climate.
Niklas has now visited more than 100 countries, and cruised on more than 20 different cruise ships. In 2003, he was asked to assist the entertainment department with the Crystal Symphony World Cruise, the inaugural launch of the Crystal Serenity, as well as her 2004 World Cruise. For her commencement, he was responsible for the successful implementation of the “Creative Learning Institute”.
Niklas is a passionate traveler who tries to voyage several times a year to areas of the world that he has not yet explored. He also regularly contributes editorial articles and photographs to several cruise and travel magazines.

Originally from New York, Anthony attended both Queensborough and Queens College where he studied business administration. While attending classes, Anthony worked part-time at the corporate headquarters of one of the largest optical retail chains in the United States. Over a period of thirteen years, he worked his way up to the position of Director of Retail Operations. He remained at this post for four years before relocating to Florida to open his own optical store in Boca Raton. In 2002, superseding 19 years in the optical industry, Anthony decided it was time to transition his profession. His love of cruise ship travel led him to the cruise industry, and subsequently Compass Speakers and Entertainment Inc. Anthony’s extensive sales and marketing experience has been an invaluable asset in Compass’ efforts to expand service and streamline operations. Anthony now oversees all clergy and rabbinical placements on the more than 30 luxury cruise ships that we represent.

Jennifer joined Compass Speakers and Entertainment Inc. in 2009 as Outreach Executive and has most recently assumed the role of Director, Onboard Programs – Enrichment Division. In 2002, Jennifer joined a renowned hotel and resort corporation to assist in opening one of their newest and largest beach-side resort and convention properties. She ascended the corporate ladder to managing their recreation department where she was entrusted with the daily aspects of the fitness center, children’s program, and upscale retail boutique, as well as planning and executing special events. From there, Jennifer joined the public sector in administrative capacities for one of South Florida’s fastest growing cities, assisting their recreation department with marketing and human resources. As part of the Compass team, she focuses on the placement of destination and special interest lecturers for the cruise lines we represent, as well as golf and yoga instructors for specialized voyages. In addition, Jennifer is constantly sourcing new visionary expert speakers and celebrities to engage our clientele’s onboard guests.

Gentlemen Host® Division
Tracy joined Compass in 2007, at which time she was in charge of leading our newest division, the Gentlemen Host® program. Born in New Orleans and raised in Knoxville, Tracy now considers South Florida her home. Tracy has allotted Compass a multitude of experience ranging from marketing, public relations, and special event production. She has had the pleasure of assisting in the production of events such as the prestigious Clio Awards, Winter Party, DIFFA’s Dining by Design and The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. Previously, she coordinated a dance host program for Orient Lines (Marco Polo), Discovery World Cruises (MV Discovery) and Cunard Line (Queen Mary 2). Since aligning with the Compass team, Tracy has been responsible for implementing and developing the growing compilation of the most refined and sophisticated dance hosts from around the globe. She has expanded the Gentlemen Host® portfolio to include Silversea, Regent Seven Seas, and Cunard’s newest vessels, the Queen Victoria and the Queen Elizabeth.

Beth joined Compass Speakers and Entertainment Inc. in September of 2001. A native New Englander and graduate of the Boston Conservatory, her career in the cruise industry began in 1993 when she joined Holland America Line. Although initially hired as an entertainer, Beth also had the opportunity to serve several contracts as a member of the cruise staff aboard the M.S. Westerdam and M.S. Noordam. Upon returning to dry land, she accepted a Guest Relations position with Cunard Line at their corporate headquarters in Miami. Following their merge with The Yachts of Seabourn, Beth moved to the entertainment department as a Coordinator and within a year, was promoted to Assistant Manager. Beth’s shipboard experience, in combination with her knowledge of shore-side operations, has served her well during her tenure with our company. Although Beth originally headed three of Compass’ enrichment divisions, the perpetual expansion of the company has directed her primary concentration to the Artists category. Her focus is now the onboard placement of talented, distinguished painters and art instructors as part of the Compass' Artist in Residence program.
A San Francisco native, Laura joined Compass in 2011. While attending UCLA, and later continuing her education at UC Berkley, she was hired by Royal Viking Line as a production cast member. With a love for entertaining since the age of 15, Laura sailed for three years to more than 75 countries, not only as a performer, but in the capacity of Cruise and Hotel Operations staff as well. She later served as Director of Operations for Morag Productions Inc., known for its productions on board Royal Viking Line, Cunard Line, the Yachts of Seabourn, Silversea Cruises, Royal Olympic, Asuka Cruises and Saga Cruises. In 2005, she was tapped by Celebrity Cruises as liaison with Cirque du Soleil for the development of its entertainment program. Beginning in 2006, while continuing to consult in the entertainment industry, Laura headed a non-profit organization supporting music and the arts in a Broward County high school. As a member of the Compass team, Laura is responsible for sourcing new qualified candidates for the company’s different divisions.
A Los Angeles, California native, Sena Schmidt joined Compass Speakers in 2009 after moving to Fort Lauderdale one year prior. With a bachelor’s degree in magazine journalism from California State University, Northridge, her career background includes writing and copy editing for a variety of local and international magazines, including Flex, Muscle & Fitness and M&F Hers. Sena also worked in the boutique spa industry where she contributed to the public relations, marketing and managerial aspects of the business. For a period of time, she worked as an independent contractor for a luxury furniture design and event-planning company located in Glendale, California. With a knack for customer service, and passion for creativity and organization, Sena brings to Compass her experience, ease and intuitive nature with regards to people, her outgoing character and imaginative edge, and her devout appreciation towards the realm of travel. Sena eagerly assists the entire Compass crew, in addition to the enrichment personnel and our cruise line clients.
